If an undocumented immigrant succeeds in immigration court and is granted "cancellation of removal", Is he then granted permanent residency? Also, is it then possible to get S.S. account balance that has accumulated into another account, transferred to the new legal resident account?

Yes, cancelation of removal means permanent residency.However, if you had tax id number - that still will be yours, but ss number you will get will be brand new and you will have to start all over with your taxes.Good luck!
