  • Place of birth

We were having a discussion on US Immigration Laws, and one of the guy had put a question as follows:

Foreign born lady with passport "A" visiting another country, got married to Mr. X had a child. while husband (Mr. X) got a job in another country.
Before(Mr.X)depart his country he applied for his wife passport.
Officer at Passport Officer, checked the application and asked about the place of birth which was in anothe country, Mr.X explained, he refused to accept the application for passport.
Now Mr.X, changed the place of birth of his wife and got the passport.

Now she wants to have her correct birth place to be written in her passport.
    How can she do this.

    Appreciate your comments.

Probably with great difficulty (I'm not a lawyer). From the sound of it, there's fraud involved. Rather doubt the incorrect birthplace was just put in on the husband's word--probably a false document required. Either way, the husband lied to secure the passport, and how serious that is depends on the country issuing the passport. There is also presumably a reason why the application wasn't accepted with the wife's correct place of birth, which may well still apply. Here, to hold oneself out to be a U.S. citizen when one is not is grounds for deportation and a permanent bar, and lying to a federal officer can have a pretty severe punishment. Or, if the false passport was used to secure an immigration benefit, that's fraud as well.

Example: There are many countires in the world which has simaler names of cities and towns.
My country Bahrain is in the Arbian Gulf.
I heard that Bahrain, is in Pakistan, also as well as Hyderabd, in India as well as in Pakistan.
Lebonan is in US and that also a Country in Middle East.
AliBA: The case I refer to has nothing to do with the US, nor the person is in the US.
Their must be some thing in the Law that will bring him back to his old place of birth.
