Thanks guys I'll check into all of these, but isn't it illegal to apply for visitor visa and then marry?

    Hi,
The I-129f for K-3 (at Missouri) appears to be taking approx. 2 more months than the I-129f (fiance visa) at Texas Service Center :-) The K-1 is over all a much simpler process.

or you go there, you get married, you alone come back and he applies for a spousal visa (K-3) and comes here and waits for a green card.

    Two Ways of doing this:
    1) Apply for fiancee visa, once it got approved,he can comes here legally to get married and then start the AOS process.

    2) He can come legally using tourist visa, get married and then you can start the AOS process. Its recommended to wait at least 30 days before you get marriage though. Its also a little bit risky than option 1, but you don't have to wait for a fiancee visa to become available.

Hi, I havent been to this site in quite awhile, but remembered at one time this was a very useful site. My question is this, I am engaged to a citizen of Mexico. He now resides in Mexico. I met him while he was here in the U.S. illegally. He was never detected here and went home on his own. I would like for us to marry and live here in the U.S. I understand that we would have to reside in Mexico while awaiting for this, but what are the requirements? Where would we start. Would it be easier to get a fiance visa? He comes from a well to do family in Mexico and we would like to do this the right way. He returned to his country because we dont want to be illegal in any way. I plan to join him there if we cannot do this from here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
