I have seen this be a mistake sometimes, and the dates go back to normal at the next update, and I have seen offices that have, in fact, eliminated their backlog. Also- some offices are taking apps "off the top of the stack" even if they still have a backlog.

Anybody know what's going on in Houston? I checked their processing dates and all applications are dated 2004 not 2002 as it was a few months ago. Is this an error?
They are processing I-485 with receipt date of September 30th 2004.
