My parents are old and living alone in India. What is the prcessing time for parent sponsorship to Canada? I believe parents with chronic deseases are not granted immigration. My parents are both diabetic and father has acute asthama. Will they qualify?

You can't sponsor them until you get citizenship. To bring them over now, they would need to qualify on their own for employment-based visas. The chronic illnesses don't disqualify them from coming, but they'll probably have to get a waiver (you'll have to show you can support them).Comment
