Q: at the PDF format of the instruction it says that if someone takes a dig. photo then the width has to be 240 pixels, and the height must be 320, while if it is a scanned photo it has to be 2 inches by 2 inches.
    1. How come this two size differences?
    2. Now is that means if someone takes a new dig. photo which they upload MUST be 240 pixels wide and 320 pixels high? Because at the site of the DV application there's some pictures of incorrect/correct photos and they all 300 pixels by 300 pixels.
    3. Now should it by then 300x300 or 240x320? (if new dig.photo taken) This is a bit weird. 4. Also, at the DV application examples of photos, it states that the picture has to be a 'non smiling' pic.........at the PDF it doesn't even say anything about that.
Hmmm...thanks for your reply in advance!

Could they make this any more difficult? Geez!

The way I interpret it is if you send a digital file (.jpeg), the picture should be 320 pixels high by 240 pixels wide - 24-bit color depth.

The other sizes mentioned were if you were going to scan a photo into the computer, the original photo shouldn't be larger than 2 inches X 2 inches.

I didn't see anything about not smiling, but make sure you adhere to the other specifications - they are very picky about that stuff.

      Lots of luck to you!!!

You're welcome, Jeanine. I would think the rules would be very similar to those regarding passport pictures and they don't forbid smilimg in those, so smile away!
