No, I am from Kazakhstan, and we do not have that. Plus, in case of any medical emergency it must be valid in the States. I doubt any doctor here will expcept anything from KZ....
P.S. I must say... I ve spent a bit of time in Almaty, KZ & loved that place. Can't wait to visit that beautiful city again (specially the Medeo & Jassik kul lake area)
As far as I know...a travel insurance, which is common in europe to provide people if they are gonna travel outside of the country is normal...
but when they mention they are going to the U.S. the travel insurance does not apply nor help, therefore its not available...I know this for a fact.
One of the reasons is,mainly the main reason.
The U.S. health Insurance is sooo complex and so expensive even for citizens...your parents will be out of luck...
Sure they can get Insurance within the US for 3 weeks...but believe me when I tell ya,this will cost you a fortune for just 3 weeks of coverage.
From what I see, this thread was started over two years ago. It might be a good subject to touch on, but my belief is health insurance should be the burden of the travelers, not on the United States heathcare sytems.
