I have a problem and I'm not sure as what to do. I'm hoping that some of you can give me some advice.

My girlfriend who is a non U.S. citizen (came on tourist visa-overstay) married a U.S. citizen and they went through the papers but never recieved a green card or even EAD. Their marriage never worked out and she ended up moving back in with her grandmother (still in the U.S.).

I (a U.S. citizen) met her during this time and we fell in love and I am going to marry her. She just had her divorce papers filed yesterday so we must wait until they are finalized before we get married. However her AOS interview with her soon to be ex-husband is coming up on Thursday (which of course she will not attend).

Here is the problem. What should she do?

-don't show up to the interview
-send a letter to the office or the main office telling them to withdraw the application because of the divorce
-go to the interview office with the interview notice and tell them in person about the divorce
-go to the interview with her soon to be ex-husband telling them about the divorce

If she sends a letter/talks with someone should she mention her upcoming marriage?

We don't want anything she does now to hurt us/her in the future. We want to do things the right way.

    Thank you.
