  • 10 year rule still in effect?

I heard there used to be a way to gain legal residency for undocumented people who have been in the US for 10yrs and had never left. is that true?

LIFE act. 245(i). May be too late to file tho.

basically get a friend who's been here 10 years, photocopy his paperwork, change the names, show up, get gc. These amnesties are a joke. But hey, that's why they're called amnesties.

I am not sure if that is still in effect. Talk to a lawyer... whether you are illegal or not they are not allowed to say anything about your case to anyone, or they can lose their license... so you are perfectly safe consulting a lawyer.

245i was an amnesty for a variety of different reasons, but is no longer in effect, and may take a while to return.
