  • Help for authorization to be able to work

    Hi,
I'm a foreign student running out of money, since my daddy's business is not doing very well at home. My parents supported me very well but now they can't anymore. I can apply for authorization to work but I have to let my parents write a letter why they can't do it. I don't have any idea what to write in that letter what is important to them and what the BCIS wants to know in such a letter. Can anybody help me??

    Thanks
    KM

What type of visa are you currently holding?

I am not a lawyer nor do I claim to be one so please double-check any information given by me, or anyone else for that matter, with a certified (immigration)lawyer before you take any further steps.

        Hi,

I'm here on a student visa F-1. I would apply due to economic hardship.

Generally you run the risk of your F status being revoked.
But, I guess you don't have a much choice.
Either way you will/may be out:
If you don't apply for EAD you won't be able to pay for your education.
If you do apply INS MAY revoke your F status because your sponsor is no longer able to support you.

            Consult an attorney.
            Good luck ;-)
