  • Motion to Reopen or Reconsider

I applied last year for I-539 Application to change nonimmigrant status from B1/B2 to F1 student.
I received a denial leter from the USCIS on November 02, 2006 and in the same letter they advised me that I can file for a Motion to Reopen or Reconsider under 8CFR, 103.5 Within 30 days from this decision.
I didn`t send this motion till today July 28, 2007. Is there anyway how can reopen this case number and file the motion to reopen or reconsider?
Can I send them a letter saying that I didn`t receive any answer yet about this case and let them send me a new letter with new date and after that file the Mtion to Reopen or Reconsider?
How can I reopen that case even if the 30 days have elapsed?

You probably won't be able to do anything about it.

For legal advice consult an immigration attorney.

      Good luck
