After analyzing those 2 victory more closely, you will notice that Cannon victory means much more and has more weight to it then the bilbray win..

    My reasonning was that
1-bilbray election was democrats against a republican...whyle cannon's was a primary, mostly the conservative base.

Now, the conservative base is said to be the angriest because of the immigration issue, but somehow, cannon was able to get 56% of the votes

Bilbray, in his part, only managed to win 46% of the votes against a weak democrats runnin in a heavy conservative district...

Because bilbray barely won against a weak democrats that commited a major mistake by telling undocumeneted migrants to vote, and only had the support of 46% of republicans, his victory has to be regarded as unimpressive.

cannon managed to break well above 50% and this was a primary.

This prove that one issue candidate or candidate that runs on immigration, should not expect to get rewarded by just sauing" im going to deport 12 millions poor mexican and make their life as misarable as possible"

    Huge win for immigration refprmers.
