I am looking for a few basic law pointers about restraining order.
I have a friend who has a continuous problem with some people who bug her constantly and create problems for her. They come to her house, on her property and cause troubles.
I am not going to let on what kinds of problems but she wants them out of her life.
I think a restraining order would be appropriate.
How do you file it and what is the process, the law, consequences of breaking the order by the restrained person, etc.
Some basic information would be appreciated.
Can anyone file the RO against anyone or there must be some grounds for it, proof of pestering, etc? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Contact the local district court to file a harrassment restraining order. This site may be helpful.

Next thing you know, she'll be filing rest. orders against tele-marketers too.

        Utterly ridiculous and completely unnecessary.

        Tell her.

On the other hand, if her filing ultimately serves "ulterior motives," BRING IT ON!

          Dmartmar-
it's so typical of you to give such an a.ssisine answer.
Who do you think you are to know my friend and her story?
          Nothing.

Thank you Hudson, I've seen this website already. One of the first ones to come up in google. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Who are these people, how and why are they bugging her and what kind of problems are they causing her?
