There have always been deranged people doing all kind of crazy things, yet we haven't known of US Rep shot in 30 years.
Something must have directed his thoughts or even given him an idea to go get a gun and shoot dozen of people on that day. And it was POLITICALLY motivated action, because he didn't just get a gun and shoot sporadically by-passers on the street but made it an objective to arrive to the rally of Democratic Representative in Tucson ( "a little Blue dot in a Red sea") and unload his weapon there.
What was it ?
How helpful are the scores of staff writers who seem bent on glorifying the Indian scalp removers John Wayne style, or competing candidates from same districts who rally constituents to shoot M16's while speaking of "Second Amendment" remedies?
Those who fume flames of hatred and rouse rabble to violence won;t walk away from this too easily, regardless of what they say in the aftermath of the tragedy that wouldn't have happened in a civil society (which, according to Sheriff of Tucson, had long been lost for Arizonan's).
