Thanks for the update. My sympathies for your F1 category, I am very keen on F2A myself, if the trend since March 2004 continues I will be so thrilled.

I could only find out the 2 categories I usually observe on the bulletin, the F1 and F2A, today. However, the DOS visa bulletin will be updated in the coming days, the numbers are available in all categories, you can call the DOS # on the bulletin... and press "0" on the recorded message to speak to an agent.

I know how anxious you are to find out... It s.u.c.ks to see when nothing changed. I hope you get what you want to see.

        Good Luck

Mo,I know how disapointed and frustrating it must be for you but look on the bright side you are already in the the USA while some of us can't wait to come there try to carry on these comming days with lots of enthusiasm and tell yourself next-year at this time you'll finnish with Visa Bulletin site.I can't wait to see what date they will bring out for us.I can't call for it is very expensive from here also the time to wait to speak with someone. What I am asking of you if you see the dates when they are realease can you publish it right here for the Travel State.Gov are slow to put it on their site.Thank You.

Hi. I will post the October 2004 dates as soon as they become available on the internet, whether it's from DOS's Bulletin page - or through an immigration firm.

              Stay tuned.

The info is on Shusterman.com, and the OH Law firm....and there is little or no movement, and little or no movement predicted for 2005.

I am starting to doubt all my hopes in this country in the near future, especially getting a financial aid for my graduate program. Can this get any worse? - 5 years+ of waiting for just F1... and they consider this category to be the closest to this day.

Here it is folks, the October 2004 Bulletin... I hope you don't share the headache with me.

Ok, another update on this issue... I am little bit happy with movements occuring in Family 1st. I hope others are happy too. Family 2A is still advancing at an incredible rate compared to the rest.

                      March 2004: F1 (01OCT00), F2A (15MAY99), gap = 17.5 months.

                      April 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (15JUL99), gap = 15.25 months.

                      May 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (15OCT99), gap = 12.25 months.

                      June 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (08DEC99), gap = 11.5 months.

                      July 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (01MAR00), gap = 7.75 months.

                      August 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (15APR00), gap = 6.25 months.

                      September 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (15APR00), gap = 6.25 months. - *** No Change ***

                      October 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (01MAY00), gap = 5.5 months.

                      November 2004: F1 (01NOV00), F2A (01JUN00), gap = 5 months.

                      Good Luck and God Bless

Heads-up on December 2004 Visa Bulletin:

                        Source: http://murthy.com/bulletin.html#2

                        Priority Date Retrogression Expected

MurthyDotCom and MurthyBulletin readers recently were advised that priority dates will likely retrogress, or move backward, in both family and employment categories in 2005. The retrogression in employment-based categories could occur as early as January, according to the U.S. Department of State (DOS). The family retrogression is not expected until much later in the 2005 calendar year. More information is available on the topic of retrogression in our September 24, 2004 MurthyBulletin article, Priority Dates May Retrogress, available on MurthyDotCom. Since publication of that article we have received many questions on this topic and what it means in particular situations. Some questions and concerns are addressed here, with primary consideration given to employment-based cases, since retrogression of those cases is expected first.

I hope good news comes to all who have been waiting in next month's Visa Bulletin update. The above statement sounds optimistic, but can't see how they made such prediction without DOS informing the general public too.

46 days gap from the current F1 cut-off date and my priority date.

                        Good Luck People!

So does this mean that although your priorty date is due, you will have to wait longer?????? What's the point in saying between 30 - 999 days?

                            traveler

The source I quoted (murthy.com) suggested that there will be some forward movements in the family preference categories in the begining of FY2005, but cut-off dates could retrogress towards the end of the FY2005. If this is true, then my priority date could become current within FY2005, all I need is 46 days for F1 to advance for it's current cut-off.

                            Good Luck

                              Update: December 2004 Visa Bulletin

The DOS updated their Visa Bulletin page couple of hours ago. There are some good news in most categories, some of you might be disappointed on how far the cut-off dates advanced in certain categories. The FY2005 hasn't started as well as FY2004 did, the question now is... will there be any retrogressions ahead as DOS predicted? - Let's hope there aren't any in the near future.

As usual... I will update recent trends between the top two prefrences in the family categories (Family 1st and F2A). F2A has always been cruising smoothly for the past 18 months.

                              March 2004: F1 (01OCT00), F2A (15MAY99), gap = 17.5 months.

                              April 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (15JUL99), gap = 15.25 months.

                              May 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (15OCT99), gap = 12.25 months.

                              June 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (08DEC99), gap = 11.5 months.

                              July 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (01MAR00), gap = 7.75 months.

                              August 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (15APR00), gap = 6.25 months.

                              September 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (15APR00), gap = 6.25 months. - *** No Change ***

                              October 2004: F1 (22OCT00), F2A (01MAY00), gap = 5.5 months.

                              November 2004: F1 (01NOV00), F2A (01JUN00), gap = 5 months.

                              December 2004: F1 (22NOV00), F2A (01JUL00), gap = 4.75 months.

As of this bulletin, I have 25 days for my priority date to become current from the current F1 cut-off date.

                              Good Luck Everyone.

P.S. You can view other cut-off dates on the DOS website.
