I don't know. Last I heard from her lawyer was that she would lose the conditional card but get a new one from new marriage. That was a year ago. I have not spoken to the lawyer since.

I have another question for you, if you don't mind. You said if I should choose to report my ex to USCIS and have him deported. I think I have reported by sending our divorce decree and requesting the affidavit of support be withdrawn. I don't know how they could approve the I-485 when the conditions under which is was filed are no longer accurate.

As far as my ex is concerned, I don't care if he marries a hundred more times, but I don't want to be financially responsible for him. I do believe with all my heart he committed marriage fraud, it is up to USCIS to decide if they want to investigate that and determine whether or not he is guilty.

I agree with Michael in that the rules are very clear, yet they don't seem to be enforced.

I think it is sad that anyone regardless of nationality would marry someone for any reason other than love and I don't believe you can fall in and out of love with the changing of the seasons. I have some reasons to hate my ex and a part of me does, but because I loved him so much and for a long period of time (more than four years) a part of me still loves him.
I don't wish to have any relationship with him ever again as I could never trust him. With that said, I realize I cannot and should not judge all foreign men based on what he did to me.

Thank you for your advice and words of wisdom. I call myself bigdummy because I believe when it comes to by ex I was a bigdummy. I don't consider myself to be dumb in other aspects of my personal life or career. No, I'm not blonde. I am a brunette, so you prpbably wouldn't like me.

I recognize there are different units of USCIS, each with their own responsibilites. I guess it didn't occur to me (bigdummy) that those units wouldn't interact and share information.

I do have a very specific question for you or someone else. My ex came to the USA on a fiance' visa, we married soon after. When I did the paperwork for the I-485 I included appliations for EAD and affidavit of support. I didn't do an I-130. Thus, I cannot withdraw something I never submitted. How does this effect my/his case?

Perhaps I am dumb when it comes to immigration matters, but I would think if the USCIS has knowledge of an illegal alien they would relay that information to whichever unit deports them.

I have read a little about the I-360 and wouldn't be surprised if my ex tried to go that route, but his petition would be a total lie and I would hope USCIS would see that. I loved him, supported him and tried to make a life with him. If that is extreme emotional abuse then I think a lot of people spend years looking for it.
