Actually it is fair to associate the IRA with Irish Catholics, as the two were one and the same. And precious few Irish Catholics condemned IRA terrorism. But, in fact, the IRA was a communist organization and not Catholic. It called for a untied and socialist Ireland, and worked with Muslim terrorists from the PLO and Libya.
