Illegals with State Drivers License

Tennessee just stopped issueing illegals from getting drivers licenses. I thought all states did this a long time ago. If an illegal person gets stopped by police and they have a valid drivers license, how are the police supposed to know that person is an illegal????

Also, even if you are a temp. visa holder and get a drivers license, the expiration date on the drivers can be the expiration on the visa.

They have stopped issuing regular drivers licenses to illegals after REAL ID. Some states though want to issue special licenses just to illegals.

Since the politicians pay the price for the electoral discontent Tenn stopped because a lot of them are up for reelection this year.

you'd be surprised to learn it's still easy to get a driver's license in a lot of States. The REAL ID may have passed but it would still take 3 or more years before it's truly implemented . And no, the cops will never know if you're illegal if you have a driver's license. And they're not suppose to know since it's beyond their scope of authority.

TN started issuing a driving "certificate" to illegal aliens, which is labeled "not good for identification". They apparently plan to drop this as well because they've had literally thousands of illegal aliens coming from other states and falsely claiming TN residency. If you have a TN driver's license and are here illegally, plan on not being able to renew it or being able to get a "certificate".
