  • Petitioning parents

What options exist to bring a parent to the US when the petitioner is a permanent resident? Also, is it correct that after 2 years and 9 months as a permanent resident one can apply for citizenship.

USC can petition for their parents... applying for citizenship depends upon ur green card... if u got it through marriage then yes its 2 yrs and 9 months counting from ur legal status in USA... means I 551 stamp in ur passport...

If u got green by other mean ( except marriage to USC) count 4 yrs and 9 months...

        Good luck...Pasha
