  • Case stopped after Katrina

My cousin lives in Mississippi. She is married to an american and applied for the green card. She got her work authorization and did the fingerprints and all that stuff but then Katrina came and since then she hasn't heard from INS. She called several times and apparently they didn't know what happen with her file 'cause sometimes they've said it's in Memphis, other times they it's in Lousiana. Now I think the Lousiana office is closed. What can she do to expedite the proces?
