How far in advance can you apply for a TN-1 visa for Nursing at Peace Bridge

I am a nurse and was wondering how far in advance can I apply for a my TN visa at the Peace Bridge POE?
I would like to go there a month in advance of my start date in the U.S. so that I may give my current Employer in Canada ONE months notice that I am leaving my RN position.
Any help or Information greatly appreciated...

You can't apply for it ahead of time, you apply for it at entry.
