  • Dumped cheating boyfriend Can I report his attempt at marriage fraud?

I dated a Turkish man for 1.5 years and we were planning to marry. He still lives in Turkey.

He said and did a few things that raised red flags for me. I've been suspicious of him the past few months and started to pay close attention to everything he said and did.

I discovered he was also seeing an English woman and trying to get her to marry him.

I dumped him (and alerted her) and now he is harassing me and has threatened to send sexually explicit (and disgusting) stuff to my minor daughter. He's been trying to reach her on the phone.

He also tried to extort $6,000 from me, but I wasn't stupid enough to fall for that. I've been completely honest and sincere with my side of the relationship, so his threats fell on deaf ears here. Extortion doesn't work when you have nothing to hide...

Anybody know how I can report him and keep him from being able to do this to another woman?

This has been terribly hurtful and shocking. I know this is a common ploy, and I kept my eyes and ears very open early on in our relationship. It really seemed as if we had a truly loving relationship. He's a good liar. But not QUITE good enough

I'm just thanking God I discovered his true motives before we started any immigration procedures or got married.

Thanks to anyone out there who can help.

This is what you should be concerned with.
Sending excplicit "stuff" to "minors" is criminally prosecuted, so is threatening and extortion.
You can and should report this to authorities.

First, your feelings are reasonable when someone discovers that the other person has either used or abused that relationship. Second, you need to be careful that you do not display revengeful attitude because you got hurt on. That puts you in the same league as your former boyfriend who is attempting to send the **** material to your daughter.

The problem is that no crime has been committed on US soil. Your ex-boyfriend is sending **** material outside the US. That means the crime is being committed outside US jurisdiction. You were not married when the incident occured, so there is no marriage fraud.

If your daughter lives with you, make your phone number unlisted and change your phone number. Change also your e-mail address as well. If your daughter does not live with you, then both of you have unlisted phone numbers and block all e-mail addresses that are not known in your contact list.

I agree, this is the best course of action. Prevent further contact. Alternatively, if you believe you wish to be proactive, ayou can alert the new GF that your testimony would be available in future if she pursues a visa and finds herself in unfortunate circumstances.
The above is simply an opinion. Your mileage may vary. For immigration issues, please consult an immigration attorney.

Are you for real or just highly delusional?

Yeah, you must be delusional. Report marriage fraud w/o a marriage.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">He's been trying to reach her on the phone.

Trying and accomplishing are two different things. So far, his attempts haven't been successful.

This is the most practical and logical common sense solution, or so I would think.

              <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">I dumped him AND ALERTED HER.

Not only did you dump him, you also alerted his mistress and now want to report him too. Your actions have caused his reactions!
