Good for you to say the truth Michael.

McCain doesn't lack charisma!
In fact he is the most charismatic candidate of ALL that have run in both parties during this election cycle.
Palin, according to one senior Republican politician (I just heard fragment of his interview while browsing radio in the car, so I don't know who exactly it was but sounded like voice of former VA Senator John Warner), so Palin according to him is a careful calculation on part of McCain to attract some of the Republican voters that were not too happy with his nomination in the first place.
I would say the victory of McCain in GE was sealed when Obama got nominated for Dems' ticket.
Palin was just an extra , precautionary step, to ensure that Republican base stays energized.
All the while there is nothing in her record ,if anything at all known to general public, that would turn off moderates and independent voters due to whom McCain will win this election (hence "careful calculation" comment) : all we know about her is that she supported Pat Buchanan once upon a time (and how many do you think will trouble themselves to study the life and lifelong visions reflected in his books and articles published in then past, and even then Buchanan is not Palin).
Now imagine how unfortunate it would be for McCain to lose GE due to his own party base ignoring him on election day. And without good running mate it was, although very remote, yet possibility that any intelligent candidate would do everything possible to prevent.
Why risk?
Hence Palin.
But her nomination will simultaneosuly have much more far reaching consequences.
One of those being neutralizing the candidacy of Hillary for good and establishing the first precedent by Republican party for Female President of US (imagine still young looking, pretty , experienced after 4 or 8 years on VP post Palin! vs. much older, tired looking, non charismatic Hillary with no experience card to play anylonger. Who do you think would have better chances to win?)
There are many other advantages to Republican Party, with the possibility of keeping the WH for the next 8 to 16 years and with Palin as the next President.
Those advantages include the nomination of absolute majority of SC Judges and many, many, many other things that she will bring along with her Presidency.http://www.anbsoft.com/images/usflag_med.jpg

McCain has already won this election.
There is no comprehensible reason for Obama to run against McCain, unless Obamas' true purpose is to lose this election.http://www.anbsoft.com/images/usflag_med.jpg

Perhaps in private converstion.. or he is a "likeable" guy, much like GWB jr. but for a public talk or speech.... NO. Both probably have the same IQ.
I had to struggle to listen to this guy without being distracted. But that woman's mouth and voice is near obnoxious. yikes
However, hopefully those people stayed awake to hear the good news and things he had to say. It was an overall positive speech unlike Huckabee, and the others including Palin and most of all Guiliani. All were negative and not focused on what the party will bring to the table.
I thnk McCain redeemed himself. no they were not his words or recommendations.. but so what. like he says, it doesnt matter who, as long as they get accomplished. No John should not call himself a republican . He is a democrat with a republican flavor. Honestly, I dont belive that john really knows what he is.
It was refreshing to see his 96 year old mother in the audience and proudly stand up . That was impressive to me.
John is not the brightest bulb and is not his own man. it doesnt matter as long as there are those taking him in the right direction for this country, and he is willing to try to acquire knowledge to understand and participate in the decisions that will be made.
The education and the work revelations that he is proposing are the best things I have heard in either convention. Even as charasmatic as Obama's speech was, I did not hear definitive talk like mccain gave in his boring presentation.
I liked a lot of what I heard, and what his vision seemed to be. espcially in the education area. I dont agree on his take on the "bad teachers", which disappointly cautioned me that he is being led and does not realize the issue about the edcucation problem.
sadly, John will only be a pawn in the white house. He cannot understand the education problem because he was a poor student and just never got it. I can only imagine if this guy was actually an educated man, his thoughts and aspirations could actually get america on track again. Hopefully, it will all work out for us in the end.

Much better than Obama stating USA has 57 states
I guess he plans on adding following countries as additional 7 states
Kenya
Ehtiopia
Liberia
Niger
Somalia
Zambia
Uganda
With this Obama intends to CHANGE United States of America to United States of Africa. If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans
Democrats - Brave enough to KILL our unborn, just NOT our ENEMIES!
