we got two notice of actions. one saying that our application was received the other was for fingerprinting. We have been waiting for more than a year now.
case status online says that "We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 360 and 390 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete."

get the check that was cashed and enter the tracking number at the back of the check online and see what the case status online says.
By the way, did you receive a Notice of Action?

2. check
3. yes it has been cashed
4. I'm sure that they got our applications. we have been fingerprinted. but we have not been called for an interview. It has been 1.5 years since we have applied. And when we make an inqury about our case through INS service center we don't get a response.

something is definitely wrong.
Some questions:
1.Where did you mail your N-400?
2.Did you use check or money order?
3.If you used a check, has the check been cashed?
4.Did you use tracking for the mail you used to send the N-400?

we live at VA. Applied to naturalization at april 2004, got fingerprinted at 2004 but did not receive anything after fingerprinting. We have called INS customer service twice now to find out more about the status of our case. Both times they said that we will receive a mail from the center that is processing our cases and both times we did not receive anything. Even INS customer service people are suprised to see that we did not even get a mail. We have never moved. Can anybody explain me what's happening and why we don't even get a response to our inquiry?
