If I were you, I won't be concerned much with the money but more rather with the 'time' involved. It would cost you a few thousand dollars, but the processing time would be around eight to 12 years before they're able to come here as immigrants. Even longer if they're from Mexico or Philippines.Comment

Doesn't hurt to put in the petition and hope for the best though, right? Who knows, maybe Congress will actually increase visa numbers. And, you might want to get the application in now in case Congress does away with this category completely.
To file for your brother, you must file an I-130. You will list all his family members on that form. The filing fee for an I-130 is $355. Please go to uscis.gov for more information.Comment
