TPS is an extension for people here legally.

I don`t think you are eligible for TPS since you have a deportation order against you in the past.

That doesn't make sense. Most people here legally don't need TPS.

USCIS will most likely link your deportation order to the current application and I'm very surprised your lawyer did not tell you that (or you didn't tell your lawyer, which is also very bad). That doesn't mean they'll deny your TPS if you are otherwise eligible. But they may find you and deport you if and when TPS expires for Haiti.

You can't get TPS as you are here illegally and have an oustanding deportation order. Only those legally here get TPS.

Hello , i have a few questions and i'm hoping someone would have the answers to it.

I'm from Haiti and had applied for Asylum about 5 years ago...My asylum application was denied and was ordered to leave , but because of family concern , i never did.

In mid February , i heard about the TPS benefit for all haitians to be allowed to stay so i went to a lawyer , filed all the papers and mailed them.

My problem is that i got married about a year ago and had my name changed....Would this be a problem??

I remember the immigration agent making me take biometric/photo and fingerprint 5 years ago during my asylum application and wonder whether all this information would pop up when i go the security process of fingerprinting?

I worry i may be denied because i already send all my TPS information under my marriage name.
