Applying for naturalization through marriage to a US citizen and have 2 questions:
1) Do several trips abroad totaling about 3 months over the last 3 years reduce the continuous residence time? I got permanent residence in July 2002 but took several trips out of the country totaling about 3 months since then. In May 2005, do I now have 2 years 10 months or 2 years 7 months of continuous residence?
2) Would USCIS penalize me for unpaid traffic tickets (speeding tickets and parking tickets) from another state in the "moral character" area or for whatever reason? I have some unpaid traffic tickets I've gotten over the years in different states, but that has not affected my driver's license or car registration in my current state (New York).
Thanks for any help.
