Not strange...NYC is running a pilot program to do just that.....process people within 90 days. It avoids giving EAD & Advance parole to fraudsters and helps legitimate applicants get green cards faster.

I think BCIS is trying to reduce their backlog for real this time, i applied for marriage based AOS in March 23 2004, got EAD 3 weeks afterwards, done fingerprinting in another 3 weeks and have interview on august 20th, this is in Seattle by the way.

            Bronzelady,
So It is possible to eliminate fraudsters by allocating GC to applicants in 90 days versus a 2 years waiting time??
What a logic! and of cause the background check is always completed for those on the "pilot program"!
The whole thing is a joke.

              Kalla,

do you know how to read???? I said "it avoids giving EAD and advance parole to fraudsters". EAD is supposed to be issued within 90 days and Advance parole within 120 days. The organizations that help people with fraudulent claims know that time is on their side (because it takes 2 years to get an interview) so the person will get at least 2 EAD's out of it, possibly an advance parole. If they come up with a bogus reason for missing the first appointment now the clock is continuing to run. By interviewing people within 90 days the fraudsters never get that first EAD (because their case is denied within 90 days and that means all supporting applications are denied as well). This is not a difficult concept to understand.

I surely know how to read!
The same "glitch" which in the first place allowed fraudsters to get immigration benefits such as EAD, Advance Parole within a certain period of time is now giveng them the GC DIRECTLY!!!!

The timeline changed due to the "Pilot program", but what about the reliability of the process in terms of tracking down sham/boggus applications?

I perfectly understood you the first time, I a m not sure that on your side you caught the essence of my message!
