It will be 5 years in November after I got my greencARD. When can I apply for citizenship. Is it after completing 5 years? There is too much information out there.

    Thanks

      Hi Fatinkc,

      From:
      http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/n-400ins.pdf

"If you are applying based on five years as a LawfulPermanent Resident or based on three years as aLawful Permanent Resident married to a U.S. citizen, you may apply for naturalization up to 90 days beforeyou meet the ''continuous residence'' requirement. Youmust meet all other requirements at the time that youfile your application with us".

thanks ProudUSC, I'm about to ask the same question here in this forum but thought about doing a search first. Actually, I've come to America 2 years ago on EDV Lottery Visa and as the aol mail login OP said, there's too much information in the internet. And I think I found my answer here. Thanks again
