    You can easily get Reentry Permit (takes 2-3 months) and use it for travel in lieu of passport.

            You're beeing way to rude. Do you think this kind of answer will help her? No! What if she only married her husband for the US citizenship? Nothing! It's not our business, and also, she's having two kids to look after, which so many other people in a "normal" marriage can't even do! So, stop being rude, ok? Lory, as for you, good luck!               Travelling with only a re-entry permit is risky... If the other country doesn't acknowledge it as a travelling document in place of a passport, she will be denied entry.
