      There are other places in the world you know. Many people want to be in America but not give up the citizenship of their homeland. Some live here for years and are quite happy with the GC and never naturalize. So it may right for 1 million but wrong for 3 million - who knows. I didn't mean to offend - Just statements of fact.

        Hope that you will make through.

        Your OP was in regards to fees charged in connection to immigration benefits appl.

        Keep in mind , they have waiver available for those who can't afford to pay those fees.
        You need to explain why is it that you can't afford those fees (show your bills, expenses, income, fin. statements and etc.)

        But beware: inability to support yourself and your child(if that's how they interpret your request for waiver of fees) can make you inadmissible per 96 Reform law, unless you are an Asylee/Refugee.
        It's very thin thread.
