It happend in Giles County near Blacksburg. Aren't you down in those parts?

Thank you Still Learning. She was apparently being stalked by a guy. She tried to get a restraining order and it was denied. He killed her, burnt her house down with her inside, and then slit his own wrists. This happened this week.

Last week our family had a cousin who was randomly shot by a guy in Pennsylvania who "just wanted to kill someone". He shot our cousin in the head. Meanwhile, her husband is a marine in Fallujah and had to be called home to attend to his wife. She remains in intensive care. To top it all off, she is expecting a baby boy in the New Year. It's been a rough couple of weeks.

Life is so cruel at times.

Like they said in the news, she was just in the wrong place, and if not her, someone else would have gotten it. The question is why her? right?

Yes, so far Julia and baby Curtis are hanging in there. She's had two surgeries so far and we are anxiously awaiting further news.
