Claiming unemployment

My wife is about to be let go from her company. We are on the verge of getting the green card... She currently has an EAD.

Can she claim unemployment on the EAD or is it only for Citizens & Permanent Residents?

If she has the legal right to live and work here, then she can file for unemployment.

Have one correction to the above.

My wife travelled outside the US and came back on her H1-B, not her Advance Parole. So, that makes her working on her H1-B, now.

Can she claim unemployment once her employer lets her go ? Of course, leaving the employer means she is going to be without the H1-B. But, as I stated before, she has her EAD which is valid till end of 2003.

So, given the scenario above, can she claim unemployment ?
