When my hubby and I went to Special Registration, we were told he has to re-register every year. Not sure if it applies now that he has conditional green card.

Hubby was given this paperwork when we went to Special Registration:

"Special Registration Procedures for Visitors and Temporary Registrants"

      SadGirl:

By your own statement "There are 3 months left until i can marry the man that i DO truly love.", so I am still wondering what is love to you, if not a permanent commitment, regardless of where or how you live.

Pardon this comment, being that this boad is not Dr. Phil, but why ask about immigration laws which pertain to USC's and Alien's who contemplate entering into marriage, when indeed you really need to understand what the word "marriage" means!!!!

One more Dr. Phil-ism, if I may.

By reading your statement "Perhaps i worded it Wrong but in any case it is going to be over between us if something goes wrong because we both have dreams and goals we want to accomplish together " I TRULLY HAVE GRAVE MISGIVINGS AS TO YOUR TRUE INTENTIONS....AND SO ONE WORD OF ADVISE, SHOULD YOUR BELOVED HAVE TO FACE ANY IMMIGRATION OFFICER TO REGISTER OR OTHERWISE IN THE NEAR FUTURE, BETTER ADVISE HIM NOT TO UTTER SUCH STATEMENTS...HE'D BE SURE SETTING HIMSLEF UP FOR DISAPPOINTMENTS, IF HE DID!

            I think it is rather

..."'til death do us part or 'til I get the Green Card, whichever comes first".

Just follow what paralegal had said.

Many of the writers do not know who is the President of India, or Canada, or China, Japan. and they want to talk about the US Immigration & Nationlaity Laws and Passports and Citizenship. They have never been out of One State to another states Many of them dont know who is the DOT Secretary.

Pardon me, but I don't understand your point. What does the President pf India, China etc have to do with US immigration and Nationality? If people on this board were to be writing about Immigration to any of those countries, I could well understand your frustration, but I don't think they are.

If my information serves me correctly, currently
                  India R. A. P. J. ABDUL KALAM
                  China: Hu Jintao
                  Japan: Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi

Not bad for a lowly USC!

I am USC, and I have NO CLUE who presides over the countries you mentioned.

The only thing I DO know is, Indians are the SMARTEST people in the world!
