my family is applying for citizenship and my parents are separated not divorced so for my mom to fill out the N400 which part should she fill in part8. my father is in india please help thanks.

If they are not divorced that means they are still legally married. She should fill as married.

thanks for the reply one more question if my mom wants to change her last name will that be a problem or will we have to provide papers since she is not divorced yet.

I think she can change last name with proper action.about middel name i don't think so she can change .

Acourt can allow a change in your name when you are being naturalized. a name change does not become final until a court naturalized you.Read guide carfully .
