Ok, hello all it is me again! I went and spoke to a lawyer with my fiance today, and she[the lawyer]
informed, me that if we can track down where his employer filed labor certification in 1998, and see if he is in the system any where, we can have his papers easily, than going through the other routes! Well his employer[previous] went bankrupt in 1999, and closed his company and has not been seen or heard from since! So my question is....
How do you go about getting information on applications that have been sent in/ processed/ in the system, what ever. I have called sooooo many people today, and they all give me diffrent contact info. Can i call the INS department here, in my city? Can they give me the information? Do i need to contact the Department of Labor, here in the state? Or go straight to the regional office? I am a USC and I could easily get his papers if we married and filed
245(i), but we do not want to marry for this reason! And I was also told, that if you get a temporary permit, and enlist with the reserves or some branch of military official, that you can get your papers with in 6 months is that true?
I am very lost, when it comes to INS policy and procedure. But you guys seem to understand alot more than most of the people I come across, so any insight is constructive! thank you all very much! Hopefully some one helps me out....
