Admin Processing over after two years & waiting for Immigration Visa

I need some advices about immigration visa.
Let me add briefly that two years ago I was called by Islamabad Embassy for immigration visa interview. My Sponser is my brother. During interview the Visa officer told me that some additional admin processing is needed in my case.
Well after waiting for more than 2 years I have been informed by embassy that my case is clear and visa is ready. Just need to provide new medical and police report along with form DS-230. I have provided the required new reports. Still visa not issued it is more than two months now. Do I need to wait more?

When did you send the new DS-230, medical and police reports? It should not take more than 4 to 6 weeks.

Did you check with courier service? In my sister's case, the courier service kept the passports for two weeks until I asked my sister to visit and check with the courier service office and you know what, they had her visa packets and passports for two weeks.

Check with them and you might be surprised to find your visa packets and passports with courier service.

You are right, when I contacted Courier Services
they confirmed that my visa packet is with them.

I could not understand why they are keeping it & was not informing me.

You advise was really very helpful.

The same was with me. I got interviewed on 10th July 2007 and got their reply on 4th Jun 09. I have not sent them the required doccuments yet. Next week I'll send them. Please tell me for how long the visa is valid? I was told that for Immigration visa it is valid for 6 months from the date of informing you about sending your doccuments. Is it right?

Hi Young Man,

In my case visa was stampped on passport in April and valid upto 6 months.

You better submit the required documents quickly in order to get back your passport with visa. It is not an easy task to plan the things in a short durastion. Moving from one place to other needs a lot of preparations.
