BCIS: Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services

      www.immigration.gov

The Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services will be responsible for most of the application and petition adjudications currently done by INS. Until further notice, however, all INS forms, fees, office addresses, and procedures will remain the same. The BCIS brochure referenced below states that for now, application and petition filing fees can be made out to either BCIS or INS. However, it would be good practice to change your internal forms and instructions to instruct that checks begin to be made out to BCIS.

BICE: Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement

      http://www.bice.immigration.gov/graphics/index.htm

The Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement will be responsible for INS investigations, detention, removal, intelligence, and SEVIS.

BCBP: Bureau of Customs and Border Patrol:

      http://cbp.customs.gov/

The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection will be responsible for INS inspections at U.S. ports of entry, for the Border Patrol, and for the Customs Service.
