B2-H1-B2?

Hi:

A friend of mine came to the USA on B2 visa (he got 5 yr multiple entry valid thill 2006 on his passport), got a job offer on H1B and worked for about a year (never got new H1B visa stamped on his passport). However, now he wants to go back to India and live there. Now the question is if he wants to visit USA (say,by 2006) can he use his ole B2 visa?

Since your friend has changed his status, as such his B visa is automatically cancelled. He will have to apply for new Visa.
