  • is there life after canadian deportation?

Is there anyone who can offer me some information on what is the likelyhood of my husband being re-admitted to Canada after a deportation.

He came to canada from UK as a child, spent most of his life in care, was neglected and abused as a child and due to criminality was deported as an adult back to UK. His criminal record is fairly minor in the sense it was drug possession and theft. Sad thing is though is that he did his full time in prison - came out and went back to school and graduated kept his nose clean and was deported two years later in 1995. All his family remain in Canada and he hasnt seen them since. (I am British and we married in UK in 1996). After some research into Canadian immigration law I am unsure if he has exhausted all of his appeals as by his own addmission he 'just let CIC do it' to him and didnt do much to fight it. Any advice would be appreciated - but smutty unfelt comments are not really constructive and do nothing but add to the human misery of family seperation.

his crime must have been serious enough to get him deported from Canada. Most of the forum attendants here are in regard to U.S. immigration laws, but I'm pretty sure that Canadian immigration is way more lenient than U.S.

There are other forums that may be more helpfull to your situtation. you may have to study the current laws and what options you have. good luck!
