A legal assistance will be provided to you when you are charged with CRIMINAL acts only if you can prove that cannot afford it. No free laywer in immigration cases. Of course sometimes there are pro bono lawyers but very difficult to get because there are so many cases.

Here in minnesota we have an organization called the "International Institute of MN" They do things like offer free ESL classes and classes about different culters. One of the services they provide is "help" with immigration issues and filling out forms. Sometimes they have immigrations lawyers there...all free of charge. you should look and see if such organization exists in your location.
