on our recent visit to the us,my wife had a baby (now 8weeks old)this was not planned.
we had to remain in the us due to illness,
the baby has us passport,she is a us citizen.
does any one know if this gives us any right to remain in the usa? we are european(uk)

Unfortunately, this does not afford you a status. You can continue to enter as a visitor. It may be a stretch, you could try to get a visa as a caregiver to a minor requiring medical treatment in the U.S. Or, an employer can sponsor you. If your U.K. company has a U.S. office, look into that office sponsoring you for an L-1.
