i am on h1b visa. my visa completes 3 years in october and I have to apply for extension. I want to apply as early as possible. The BCIS site i.e. information on form I129 says its 6 months before I can apply but the actual form says max 4 months in advance I can apply. which one more reliable?
the form itself or the information above the form? pls help.

Actually four months but because of changes in BCIS its 6 months.
you will be ok if you apply within 6 months.

Normally, you apply at least four months in advance.

I,m sure its within six months , reason ? security checks. it will be normal to schedule (four months (old Rule)after full transcation of BCIS) BCIS is still changing the Language of general description of laws DB.
