Hi, I am 15 and a junior in high school. I recently (last year) did the PSAT and got a 1300 on it. I try very hard. My problem is that I am here illegal. My friends don't know it. I came here with my parents when I was 1 year old. I am currently taking drivers ed in school, but is wondering if it makes any sense doing so since I will never (for now) be able to get my permit.
My parents are now divorced. My mother, the backbone of the family (now and then) have recently bought a nice house and car. My father, the vagabond (sorry, but I am angry), who is 50 years old has gone back to live with his mother. He is the reason we are in this position. He got called in years ago for his GC, but lied to the immigration officer. He has caused my mother plenty grief. He is an alcoholic. My mother is 38. They got married when she was 21 and he 32. She tried, even having my little brother (he is 2), hoping that would make a difference - it has not. Quoting my mother, "I have emascualted him". It must be bad, because after my brother was born, she changed the locks on the apartment door, and divorced him ASAP.
The current situation is this: my father's mother filed for him in 1998 (she is a greencard holder); my uncle filed for my mother (last year), and I am just here waiting and hoping one of them gets a call soon.
Although I am only 15 (will be 16 soon) I do think I am pretty smart - therefore, I do know when someone is kind, oppose to someone who is disingenuous. I do not wish to hear from TB, whether good or bad Thank you.
