citizenship after getting married to USC after three yrs

hi folks
i'm US green card holder since three yrs and i have been married to a US Citizen since three yrs.i got my green card through political asylum.can i apply for citizenship. Somebody mislead me before and told me i can only apply if i had my green card through my marriage.

You should be eligible to apply for citizenship at this point.

Since you got your GC from Asylum, you have to wait 5 years before filing for citizenship unless you got it from being married to an American Citizen, you could file after 3 yrs.

If you have been the green-card holding spouse of a USC for three years and are still the green-card holding spouse of that same citizen, you are elligible for citizenship REGARDLESS of how you obtained your green card. (look at part 2 of the N-400 application; it's very clear.)
