What will happen to me cos i won the lottery for 2003 and had applied for change of status to an f1 visa but it came out negative i need all the advice i can get cos i do not want to loose the chance and at the same time i dont wanna go back to my native country.

Well, if you're outta status you can't apply for the green card lottery from within the US. You can always apply for it via the consulate of your own country -- but only if you've overstayed your visa for less than six months. Good Luck.

Kwazulu....call I dont think its a good idea to apply for you GC from here because it will take well over a year and if you are not approved by september 30th 2003, you will lose your chances so go back home. Are u from Africa some place becuase i see the name your user name is from africa. I am from Africa - well South Africa - gorgeous place.

Meant to say go back home and apply for your GC from there. Consular processing is faster
