Nothing came. Then like 7 months later wrote us for a second interview telling me bring a job letter and joint letters with both of us names when we went to the itnerview thet called my name then the officer told us they dont have all of my papers and that they need to reschedule my appointment. W went and made an interview through the internet because my work permit was expiring soon. I spoke the officer and she told me that they was waiting on my digital file I think is me name check she told me that got it and is rescheduling an appointment for for me and she was me she would not renew the work permit it will be a waste of money because I should here from them soon. She said you don't have to but not that you couldn't. You are now working illegally. Isn't it better to try to work legally? The officer you spoke with really has no idea what is going to happen at the interview or how long it will be before you get your green card.

Mrs Mani you think I should still apply for the work permit, I understood what the officer was saying she pull up my files on the pc she said if I apply for the work permit they would send a receipt but it will take like 2-3 months for them to ship it by that time I should already get a decision.

I might want to add that at my interview (I had a similar situation), my work permit had already expired, the officer told me I can continue to work and wrote in and marked my passport as AOS pending with his name and number.
Appearently, USCIS is not all that strict with work permits while AOS is pending.“...I may condemn what you say, but I will give my life for that you may say it”! - Voltaire

They are doing what's convenient for themselves not what's best for you trini752002. However it is true if married to a USC, illegal work is forgiven (usually)."What you see in the photograph isn't what you saw at the time. The real skill of photography is organized visual lying."

Thank you guys, I will give them until the end the month if no answer I will renew my work permit, just dont want to put out the $340, then my interview come through, just dont know why they reschedule my appointment thats strange all they wanted was more evidence, My wife got a work and she is trying to hook me up with a space there, I just cant just go there and sit down do nothing while my kids take the burden especially my son I am the sole provider for him.
