Question on I-485 Asylum-based

Hi,

It has been over 3 years since I have applied I485 Adjustment status and seems like by next year I should be hearing back.
I was not sure what happens from there, do they ask for you to come in for an interview? Or can they simply make a decision either approved or denied without talking to you? Also does anyone know if they can deny anyone without any specific reason?
I just want to make sure that I am not asked to leave the country because if its something that can happen then I can have some backup plan and apply for Canadian Immigration or even go to Australia.

you are waiting for visa availablity right now. once the priority become current you will be called for interview, submit paperwork etc and you will be adjusted.You file must be in Nabraska service center.
