        Rafi,

There have been conflicting answers to this question. Again this goes to show the ineffiencies of USCIS. Nowhere in I-131 form explains what "class of admission" means. It could mean your last admission to the US or the future admission, when you leave on AP

Since, my AOS is thru marriage, I put I-485 adjustee (marriage-based petition).

          Rafi,

One more thing...dont forget to include a cover letter, stating the reason/s for travel and listing down all the attachments you are sending. It makes life easier for them and in return, could be better for you. Here the sample :

          Date: December 18, 2003

          From:
          Your Name
          Your Address

          To:
          Department of Homeland Security
          U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
          their address

I wrote my I-485 is pending (Life Act)
Class of admission mean how did you last enter to US. e.g. F1, H1b, B1, B2, etc.
I entered without inspection(EWI); but I did not mentioned that eventhough INS knows already.
After you comeback to US using your advance parole then you may write, Class of Admission: I-131 (advance Parole).
