my fiancee was on probation for a year for manufacturing charges and recently broke his probation. He is now being transferred to a different state to serve 6 months, is there anyway he can get out sooner?

this sounds like a "moderate" criminal case (manufacturing what? illegal substances?)
Usually once the probation is violated, the sentence must be served in full. The probation was a chance for him/her to prove that it was a one time mistake and that he had the strength to rehabilitate. He choose to prove that he's not willing to live a crime-free life (I sometimes wonder if people are really into the crime, or if they "enjoy" incarcerated, stictly structured life so much that they commit the crime to be organized so much?).
If he's an alien, s/he will be most likely removed as soon as possible (meaning that the sentence would be cut short to remove him into his/her native country) that would be the only time his imprisonment would be shortened.
